ECE faculty members are the standard-bearers of their fields, conducting cutting-edge research that is contributing to computing, healthcare, power and energy systems, security, computer vision, nanotechnology and countless other fields.
ECE students and faculty can be a powerful asset to your organization. Partnering with the department is an effective way to reach and recruit them for internships, co-ops, and full-time positions, as well as work together on research.
3,000 students
With more than 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students, Illinois ECE is renowned around the globe for preparing the best and brightest students to lead industry into the future.
The world comes to Illinois for engineers.
Our students are in high demand, and companies can creatively interact with them in our new ECE Building. Last academic year, ECE student groups hosted company representatives for more than 50 tech talks, hacks, and workshops, while companies took over the lobby for a Corporate Day 20 times.
Our students are prepared to lead.
Our students are getting a prestigious, but hands-on, education. The ECE Building contains more than 20 instructional labs, and our students participate in many student organizations, including PURE, which pairs undergraduates with faculty and graduate students mentors to work together on research projects.
Our faculty set the global standard for excellence in research and education.
