Advising Model

The ECE MEng Program Coordinator, Stacy Crusius, and Academic Advisor Tim Tiger will provide all formal advisement for ECE MEng students. Each can assist students with the following tasks:

• Admission Process and Requirements
• General Academic Advising
• Graduate Petitions
• Degree Conferral
• Student Orientation
• Seminars and other information related to the program

For further advisement from members of the faculty of the ECE department, and other departments on campus is allowed. The first attempt to contact a faculty member can be done through informal (direct email, or conversation) means, but if a faculty member does not respond, please contact Stacy (slwalker@illinois.edu) or Tim (ttiger@illinois.edu) and they will reach out to the faculty member. If that particular faculty member advises they are not in a position to help the student at that time, alternate contacts may be suggested, and Stacy or Tim will help to establish contact with a faculty member able to speak to student concerns.
