The Power Affiliates Program (PAP) connects corporations with faculty and students in Power and Energy Systems in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois. Membership in PAP supports industry-academia collaboration, spurs innovation, and inspires the next generation of electrical engineers.

Membership

Every company that joins PAP can link to the ECE Department Corporate Connections program. This allows companies to:

• Host a tech talk or info session each semester.
• Participate in Corporate Connections After Hours recruiting events. 
• Promote your organization as a “Power Affiliates Partner” on Corporate Connections websites and in brochures.
• Receive priority access to speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
• Attend the Power Affiliates Program Annual Review

A legacy of excellence

The Power Affiliates Program (PAP) was initiated in January 1979. Throughout its history, PAP has built foundations for strong connections with industry and enabled students to gain vital industry experience. Power Affiliates members have been primary employers of our graduates for many years, providing internships and full-time positions. 

The late Peter W. Sauer, Grainger Chair Emeritus Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, initiated this program. We are honored to continue his work.
