Doug Criner is a retired vice president of Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, where he led design projects for electric power generation and transmission facilities and was in charge of the firm’s Chicago regional office.

While attending the University of Illinois, Doug became acquainted with Marcia Peterman, the namesake of this award. Doug is a past president of the ECE Alumni Association and a senior life member of IEEE.
