In recognition of devoted and loyal service to the University of Illinois and the Alumni Association.
Sherel Horsley retired from Texas Instruments in December 2000 after more than 35 years with the company. His last position was as senior vice president and product manager of Digital Imaging. In this position, he was responsible for product development, sales, and marketing for all products based on TI’s Digital Light Processing (DLP) Technology.
Prior responsibilities included corporate marketing and marketing and business development for the systems and software sectors of TI.
Sherel has served as vice chairman of the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) and a member of the EIA Board of Governors and Executive Committee. He is a past board member of the Consumer Electronics Association. Sherel is past president of the ECE Alumni Board and is past board chairman of Junior Achievement of Dallas and past president of the Dallas British American Commerce Association.
