Ken Hansen is Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Freescale Semiconductor. Prior to becoming chief technical officer, Ken was vice president and led Freescale’s Chief Development Office where he improved design efficiency and reduced product cost for all Freescale business units.
Previously, he held several senior technology and management positions at Freescale and Motorola leading research and development teams. He is recognized as one of the most influential technical leaders in the industry and was at the forefront of the cellular wireless revolution. Ken is an industry veteran, with 36 years of analog and digital design experience in bipolar, CMOS, and BiCMOS technologies, primarily in the area of wireless communications.
Ken has served as industrial adviser for the University of Texas’ Wireless Networking and Communications Group, the Connection One Integrated Circuits, Systems, and Sensors Research Center funded through the National Science Foundation’s Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) effort, and the Center for Design of Digital and Analog Integrated Circuits (CDADIC), also funded as an NSF I/UCRC.
He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and holds 11 U.S. patents.
