Hanumolu: Seendripu Family Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering
Professorship: Seendripu Family Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering
The endowment for the Seendripu Family Professorship was created to recognize and support excellence in research and teaching by a faculty member within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois.
Faculty: Pavan Kumar Hanumolu
Pavan Kumar Hanumolu has been a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Professor in the Coordinated Science Laboratory since 2013. He received the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Oregon State University in 2006 and he was with Oregon State University until joining Illinois.
Prof. Hanumolu’s research pursuits are at the intersection of device physics and fabrication technology, microarchitecture, power electronics, and systems (signal processing, communications, and control). His research is characterized by first identifying a compelling problem facing industry, drilling down into the fundamentals to identify the true limitations of existing approaches, followed by the proposal of a creative solution and demonstrating its impact via design, fabrication, and laboratory testing of integrated circuit prototypes.
Dr. Hanumolu is a Fellow of the IEEE and he has been a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society. He is currently Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Journal of Solid- State Circuits.
