Elite teams of ECE ILLINOIS students will pitch and present their projects at the First Alchemy "Demo Day” Wednesday, May 12019. The event will also be streamed "live" on ECE ILLINOIS' YouTube channel. Be there as the 1st Alchemy cohort demonstrates their projects!

Alchemy is a team-oriented technology incubator launched within the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Alchemy recruits elite students in the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to work in teams to create viable technologies that are on the verge of commercialization.

Alchemy teams spend 18-20 months building their commercially promising technologies with the potential of starting a company or “exiting” to a larger company upon completion.

Current projects include high-resolution mm wavelength radar for automotive autonomy, and AI-driven decision-making platform.

Alchemy strengthens the alignment between top research universities like the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign and the commercial sector by creating a pipeline of commercially-viable technologies and teams that are ready to deploy these technologies.

Companies win with access to teams with new capabilities. Teams win through exit incentives. ILLINOIS wins by participation in IP licensing and stronger educational experience for its best students.

Join ECE ILLINOIS and Alchemy Wednesday May 1, 2019, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (CST) in 1015 ECEB as the 1st cohort in the history of the program. Or watch live at https://go.ece.illinois.edu/AlchemyLive
