Bradley McCredie

Bradley McCredie joined AMD in June of 2019. As Corporate Vice President of the Data Center GPU and Accelerated Processing Division, Brad oversees the global development, delivery and sales of data center GPU and accelerator products. His responsibilities span AMD system hardware, software, solutions, and ecosystems and include developing and optimizing complete data center platforms for HPC and AI applications. With the growth of the DCGPU business Brad was recently promoted to Senior Vice President of Data Center GPU and Accelerated Processing.
Before joining AMD, Brad was the Vice President of IBM Power Systems Development and an IBM Fellow. Brad’s tenure at IBM began in 1991 after graduating from the University of Illinois, when he focused on electromagnetic design and electronic packaging for IBM’s mainframe systems. In 1996, he moved to Power Systems Development and worked on the POWER2 processor. He held a variety of technical and executive leadership roles as he drove Power Systems development through POWER9.
Over the course of Brad’s career he has played a leadership role in delivering the #1 Top 500 supercomputer 4 times, including the recent delivery of the Processor for the Frontier Supercomputer, the first system to break the Exaflop barrier. In addition, Brad led the delivery of many processors and systems that achieved #1 processor and system benchmark scores. He fulfilled his dream to build the world's most powerful computers, the primary goal he set out to accomplish when he graduated from the University of Illinois.
Brad holds a BS, MS, and Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois.
