Raluca Ilie

Ilie received the Collins Award for Innovative Teaching. This award recognizes outstanding development or use of new and innovative teaching methods. Ilie directs the UIUC Heliospheric Research and Applications Group (HeRA) and the VR Initiative for Immersive Learning. Her research addresses the need for predictive capabilities by developing and improving high-performance, first-principles computational models that describe and predict the conditions in the near-Earth space that can impact technological assets.

Chandrasekhar Radhakrishnan

Radhakrishnan was one of the two recipients of the Rose Award for Teaching Excellence. Established by an anonymous alumnus, this award is intended to foster and reward excellence in undergraduate teaching in the College of Engineering. It recognizes teachers who excel at motivating freshmen and sophomore students to learn and appreciate the principles of engineering. Radhakrishnan has taught courses in areas related to Circuits and Signal Processing. In his teaching, he focuses on encouraging students to explore, not be afraid to make mistakes, learn from their mistakes, and find their passion. He has also previously received the George Anner Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award.
