ECE ILLINOIS alumni Ashwin Suresh (BSEE ‘05) and Anirudh Pandita (MSEE ‘06) co-founded the digital entertainment startup Pocket Aces, in 2014. Based out of Mumbai, the startup helps distribute video content through its multiple YouTube channels: Dice Media, FilterCopy, and Gobble. Forbes India recently profiled the duo after they announced that they have raised $3 million of Series A funding.
Pocket Aces reach up to 20 million people weekly, and its web page receives more than 3 million page views each month. “We are laying the foundation for the nascent digital entertainment industry in India and look up to companies like Pixar as benchmarks for creative innovation,” Suresh told Forbes India.
