Chris Brown is chief product officer (CPO) at Relativity (https://www.relativity.com), a company that makes software to help users organize data, discover the truth and act on it. Its SaaS product, RelativityOne, manages large volumes of data and quickly identifies key issues during litigation and internal investigations. Relativity has more than 300,000 users in approximately 40 countries serving thousands of organizations globally primarily in legal, financial services and government sectors, including the U.S. Department of Justice and 198 of the Am Law 200.

Prior to Relativity, Chris was CEO and a board director of Kapow (https://www.kapow.com), an online platform for corporate events that connects Fortune 500 customers with thousands of unique venue experiences nationwide. In 2018, Kapow was acquired by Cvent (a portfolio company of Vista Equity Partners), the leading global meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider with more than 3,600 employees, 25,000 customers, and 300,000 users worldwide. 

Before leading Kapow, Chris was chief product officer (CPO) of Orbitz Worldwide, a leading global online travel company acquired by Expedia, Inc. (https://www.expediagroup.com/) in 2015. While at Orbitz, Chris helped lead a cross functional team of more than 900 tech, product, user experience and operations professionals in the delivery of best-in-class online travel solutions for the portfolio of Orbitz Worldwide brands, includingOrbitz.com and CheapTickets.com in North America, ebookers.com in Europe, HotelClub.com in the APAC region and the Orbitz Partner Network. 

Chris began his career in Austin, Texas, where he was director of Product for 360Commerce (now part of Oracle Retail), founded a software company that provided return management solutions for eCommerce companies, and held software engineering positions for Trilogy Software.

Chris earned his B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1998 and was also on the Illinois Men’s Volleyball Team. He was appointed to the ECE Illinois Alumni Board in July 2017. Chris and his wife have four children and live in the Chicago suburbs.
