Chris Brown

Chris Brown is currently CEO and a Board Director of Kapow, an online marketplace for corporate events, where he leads a world class team in assembling the largest collection of unique event ideas that can be booked online. Kapow currently operates in markets across the U.S. with plans to expand internationally in 2017.   

Previously, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer of Orbitz Worldwide, a leading global online travel company that was acquired by Expedia, Inc for $1.7B in 2015.  While at Orbitz, Chris helped lead a combined 900+ team of tech, product, user experience and retail operations professionals in the delivery of best-in-class online travel solutions for the portfolio of Orbitz Worldwide b2c and b2b brands including Orbitz.com and CheapTickets.com in North America, ebookers.com in Europe, HotelClub.com in the APAC region as well as the Orbitz Partner Network.

Before joining Orbitz, Chris was the Director of Product for 360Commerce (now part of Oracle Retail), where he spearheaded strategic product launches and managed top client accounts for the $100 million independent software vendor focused in the Retail space.

Chris started his career in Austin, Texas, where he worked as a software engineer for Trilogy Software and later went on to co-found an Internet software company that provided cloud-based return management solutions to retailers.  

Chris holds a bachelor's in Computer Engineering from ECE ILLINOIS.
