In recognition of devoted and loyal service to the University of Illinois and the Alumni Association.

Jennifer Sterling is the Director, Transmission Planning for Exelon Energy Delivery.  In her current position, she is responsible for transmission system reinforcement, technical studies and transmission system interconnections for both the ComEd (Chicago) and PECO (Philadelphia) electric transmission systems.  She joined ComEd in 1990 and continued on with Exelon following the merger of ComEd’s parent company, Unicom with PECO in 2001.

Sterling was a member of the ECE Alumni Board from 1997-2005, serving as treasurer from 2003-2005.  For the past 8 years, she has coordinated the ECE Freshmen Calling Program, recruiting alumni as well as current ECE students to contact new ECE students in order to welcome them to the department and answer questions.  She received the Orange and Blue Appreciation Award in 2005.
