In recognition of outstanding contributions to the telecommunications industry, including pioneering work in the area of PC-fax Technology.
Henry Magnuski (BSEE ’65) is the inventor of PC-to-fax technology and founder of two companies, GammaLink Corp. and Internet Video Services Inc. (IVS). GammaLink merged with Dialogic Corporation in 1994 and is now a public company with revenues exceeding $200 million. IVS is a company that digitizes, stores, and distributes video over the Internet. As a part of IVS, Magnuski created MediaMart, one of the first profitable electronic-commerce sites, which has gained several awards. In honor of his father, Magnuski and his wife Cynthia donated $300,000 to establish the Henry Magnuski Scholar Fund for Outstanding Young Faculty Members within the ECE department.
