Edward Robert Bosik Scholarship

Description:

This scholarship is given to honor the memory of Edward Robert Bosik, a 1965 graduate of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in mathematics. Ed demonstrated an early interest in math and science projects, winning drafting competitions, and obtaining a Ham radio license, repairing television sets and other electrical/electronic devices, making him a natural for entry into the engineering field, and beginning a long and successful career in aerospace engineering, and test and evaluation of major defense weapons systems, primarily long range missiles, utilizing advanced computer technology, and working with defense contractors and engineers from the US, UK and Israel.

Requirements:

  • The scholarship will support entering first-year students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. 
  • Recipients will be selected based on academic merit.

Selection Process:

The head of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, or designee, determines the recipients.

Award:

The recipient(s) will be recognized at the annual spring ECE Awards and Recognition Banquet.
