Anton Johnson & Laura Amundson Hellerud Scholarship

Description:

Wayne R. Johnson (BSEE '76, MBA '96) established this scholarship in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in honor of his grandparents Anton Johnson and Laura Amundsen Hellerud, who immigrated from Norway. They arrived as teenagers - one in 1896, the other in 1909, and provided the foundation for a like in the United States - for which he is grateful.

Requirements:

The recipients must be juniors or seniors studying electrical engineering, demonstrate financial need, and be selected based on academic merit.

Award:

The recipient(s) will be recognized during an annual Student Awards Banquet. All student recipients are featured on the second floor of the ECE Building's Student Honors Wall.
