Hosted by Qualcomm, the distinguished group is meeting for an intensive 2-1/2 day symposium on developments at the cutting edge of engineering technology in four areas: New Materials, Frontiers of Neuroengineering for Restoring Human Sensory and Motor Functions, 5G Wireless Communication Technology, and Smart Cities.
“I am honored by the NAE’s FOE symposium invitation. This CAFOE Symposium will cover grand challenges of our century and creates a unique platform to listen to, learn from, and brainstorm with cross-disciplined engineers,” said Bayram, an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering.
Organizers say the event is intended to facilitate international and cross-disciplinary research collaboration, promote the transfer of new techniques and approaches across disparate engineering fields, and encourage the creation of a transpacific network of world-class engineers.
The 2019 CAFOE symposium was held June 20-22 in San Diego, California. It is organized by the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE).
Bayram is also affiliated with MNTL at ILLINOIS.
