Illini Solar Car team featured in mock solar challenge

On June 22, the Illini Solar Car team will be passing through Champaign as a checkpoint on a mock solar challenge to prepare for the Formula Sun Grand Prix. The cars will be on display from 1-2 pm outside the Orpheum Children's Science Museum.

On June 22nd, the Illini Solar Car team and Illinois State University Solar Car Team will be putting on a mock solar challenge in preparation for the Formula Sun Grand Prix in July. Starting in Kankakee, IL the teams will travel to Normal, IL and pass through a checkpoint in Champaign!

The public is invited to view the cars at the checkpoint in Champaign at the Orpheum Children's Science Museum and the finish line at the ISU campus. The solar cars will be on display with team members available from 1 pm to 2 pm. The event is free and open to all.
