The 2019 IEEE Power and Energy Conference at Illinois (PECI) was held from February 28 to March 1, 2019 at the University of Illinois. The 10th annual event brought together leading industry experts to investigate future power and energy technologies. PECI offers students two full days of networking opportunities with members of the power and energy community from industry (e.g.ComEd, Ameren, etc.), national laboratories (e.g. Sandia National Lab, NREL, etc.), and academia.

In addition to technical paper presentations, PECI 2019 included four keynote sessions, two tutorials, and a panel discussion. Attendees will had an opportunity to tour the Abbott power plant (an 85 MW co-generation facility) located in Champaign.

PECI 2019 also featured an expanded poster session in which researchers presented their work and exchange ideas with conference attendees from both industry and academia.

This conference was funded by organizations including the NSF, ComEd, Ameren, IEEE Power Electronics Society, IEEE Central Illinois Section, IEEE Industry Applications Society, PowerWorld, and Plexim.
