Official Description

Subject offerings of new and developing areas of knowledge in electrical and computer engineering intended to augment the existing curriculum. See Class Schedule or departmental course information for topics and prerequisites. Course Information: 0 to 4 undergraduate hours. 0 to 4 graduate hours. May be repeated in the same or separate terms if topics vary.

Section Description

Prerequisites: ECE 210, ECE 313, or their equivalents. Programming in matlab and/or python. Programming in matlab and/or python.Network science studies connections and flows among interacting objects, and the dynamic evolution of these structures. This course will cover the mathematics of networks, drawing on an emerging set of principles and techniques that originate in engineering theory, physics, biology, and the social sciences. The goal is to equip students with conceptual tools for understanding complex network systems. Examples taken primarily from neuronal, knowledge, and infrastructure networks.
